BEAUTY AND DEATH, AIR AND LIGHT, THE GAVIN WORTH’S FLORA DESIG N NEEDS TO BE EXPLORED AND UNDERSTOOD
Resembling delicate figures wrapped in intricate arabesque patterns of flowers, Flora Design pieces are all made of steel lines that move delicately through space. The sculptures evoke feelings of light, delicate air and light and highlight the delicate balance between their inherent fragility, their beauty and their death. Pale shadows fall all around contrasting with the soft beauty.
The pieces explore the beauty of growth and death, capturing the concept of life and its end in a natural, thoughtful manner. Gavin Worth was born in Zimbabwe in 1981 and is a self-taught artist who lives in New Mexico. Recently he lived in Cairo for three years before he moved to live and work in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Worth has created sculptures the world over including bespoke pieces for brands like Lexus and Ralph Lauren.
